Estate Planning & Elder Law Documents

ESTATE PLANNING DOCS

KEEP IN MIND Most clients come to their initial appointment empty handed, which is fine so long as you have basic knowledge of what you own, approximately how much you owe in debt, what your income level is, and any specific designations you’d like made. The consultation is typically one hour in length. There is no obligation to do anything at that meeting.

Documents that will eventually be requested include but are not limited to the following:

  • Deeds to real estate
  • Titles to vehicles
  • Itemization and description to any pieces of personal property of sizeable value to which you would want to leave to a specific person
  • Statements to any financial accounts including bank accounts and investments
  • Declaration page or statement for any life insurance policies
  • Incorporation documents for any business interests
  • Copies of any existing wills or trusts
  • Names, addresses, and contact information for any heirs to which you wish to leave property
